Pioneer DVR-S606 has the ability write many different file types on to a DVD disc. The disc can them be used to store or play in other devices that use a DVD. It works with DVD Forum record DVDR/RW (- or +).

The Pioneer DVR-S606 can work with high speed record at speeds of 4x for writing on high speed DVDR (-), 2x on high speed DVDRW (-), 4x with high speed with (+) R media and 2.4 with the (+) RW media, will also record at speeds 16x and 10x with high speed CDRW (-) discs.

The pioneer DVD-S606 has a USB 2.0 and two FireWire Ports to bring you quick connect of your computer to take it with you whereever you go. The driver is trendy and looks good. It is a sparkling silver on black with a blue LED light. the back houses the port for the USB and Firewire.

It is one of the slower models of dvd burners for the outside of the but the performance is equal to the other types of dvd drives. The comparison between the 4x and 8x is not a long distance and takes only about sixty seconds for difference for the two speeds.
