The Plextor PX-712UF delivers the fastest performance in dual formats, It`s an 8-in-1 Combo drive: 12X DVD+R write, 8X DVD-R write, 4X DVD+RW rewrite, 4X DVD-RW rewrite, and 16X DVD-ROM read. Also supports 48X CD-R write, 24X CD-RW rewrite and 48X CD-ROM read speeds. Create a 4.7 GB disc on DVD media in about 6 minutes.

You can create, edit and share customized DVDs and CDs with friends and family using video, photo, audio and data. Capture, archive, organize and personalize your home movies and photos on DVD, VCD, mini DVD and SVCD. Create a professional photo slide shows, complete with transitions and music. Burn your photos to Video CD to play on most DVD players. You can also back up and archive 4.7 GB on a single-sided recordable DVD disc or create photo albums for viewing with DVD players.

The PX-712UF drive includes a bundle of premium software from Roxio, including Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 - DVD Edition, and Roxio PhotoSuite 5 SE. For Macintosh users, Toast Lite versions 5 and 6 are also included.

This driver has a highly versatile DVD/CD burner specifically designed to deliver high-quality recording performance. The PX-712UF has an 8MB buffer and features Buffer Underrun Proof Technology to prevent buffer underrun errors and allow multi-tasking. Burst data transfer rates of 480Mbit/s (Hi-Speed USB 2.0) or 400Mbit/s (IEEE 1394 FireWire).

The Plextor PX-712UF drive also includes, Roxio PhotoSuite 5 SE for capturing, organising, editing, and sharing digital photos; and a 30-day trial version of Dantz Retrospect data backup software. For Macintosh users, Toast Lite versions 5 and 6 are also included.
