Plextor PX-716A DVD burner reaches lightening 16X CAV execution on the preferred 8X DVD+R media, and burner capabilities of 4.7GB in under six minutes. The drive supports twin layer DVD's, allowing up to four hours of superior media burn. The PX-716A offers writing capabilities at 16X for DVD+R, 16X for DVD-R and 4X for DVD+R DL Twin Layer). The drive offers rewriting capabilities of 8X DVD+RW and 4X DVD-RW. It will also read a 48X CD-ROM and 16X DVD-ROM.

Auto Strategy is a writing tool that will teach itself and comes with the Plextor PX-716A. It will establish the standard variations of any blank disc and instinctively improve the writing plan for unknown media, giving excellent disc recording capabilities.

Comes with a VariRec feature tht can be used for DVDRW media for Audio CDR. This allows the user to choose a few of the settings while getting ready to record to give it a more individual tone. This VariRec feature can be totally controlled from the PlexTools software, and can be found in the Plextor retail package,working with 4X and 8X CD and 2X and 4X DVD speeds.

PoweRec technology gives the user a superior CD and DVD recording. ensures the quality of CD and DVD recordings. Minimal quality Media is the reason disc errors occur with higher recording speeds. This gives the Plextor PX-716A the ability to verify the quality of the CD or DVD media and mechanically selects the best speed to write the data, providing the most superior results.

The PX-716A comes with also Giga REC allowing high volume storage to 900 MB on 700 MB CDR discs. SecuREC gives piece of mind with disc password protection and other Important information. Q-Check evaluates and gives an account of the quality of the disc that has been written. It will tell you C1 and C2 for CD’s, P1 and POF for DVD’s, and T3 to T11 and T14 for analyzing time checks, track errors, focus errors, beta, and jitters.
